Fearless Imagineers is a unique charitable initiative that empowers young people to transform their ideas into real-world creations — all while building valuable skills and giving back to their school community.
Students embark on a hands-on journey that includes:

We’re proudly putting the ‘B’ into STEAM — adding Business to Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics , giving students an exciting, real-world experience that ties directly into the curriculum.

Mark Pinder
Founder & Trustee Director
Mark Pinder is a dynamic business leader and founder of Fig3D, dedicated to bridging traditional manufacturing with cutting-edge technologies like 3D printing. With a career spanning sales, operations, and go-to-market leadership across both hardware and SaaS sectors, he’s helped businesses streamline processes, innovate faster, and unlock sustainable growth.
Beyond business, Mark is deeply committed to community and education, serving as a Trustee Director at Willow Tree Academy and acted as a Vice Chair of Governors for local school. He’s passionate about ensuring that young people, regardless of background, have the tools, confidence, and inspiration to succeed.
Mark’s journey, balancing entrepreneurial drive with a strong sense of social responsibility, embodies the spirit of Fearless Imagineers: proving that with determination, curiosity, and heart, anything is possible if you put your mind to it.
Andrew Allshorn
Technical Lead & Trustee Director
Andrew Allshorn is a pioneering leader in 3D printing and additive manufacturing with over 30 years of experience helping businesses innovate through rapid prototyping and production technologies. As Technical Director of AT 3D-Squared Ltd, founder of ADD3D Solutions, and Co-founder of Fig3D, he combines deep technical knowledge with a global network to drive progress across industries. A respected AMUG Global Ambassador and the first European Vice President of AMUG, Andrew serves as a vital link between global additive manufacturing communities.
A passionate advocate for STEAM education, he champions “thinking outside the cube” and is dedicated to supporting young people, including those with SEN and SEMH needs, to realise their creative potential. Andrew’s journey proves that with curiosity, persistence, and bold thinking, industries can be transformed and every young person can believe that anything is possible.
Alexis Dabee-Saltmarsh
Curriculum Lead & Trustee Director
Alexis Dabee Saltmarsh is an accomplished lecturer in motorsport, aerospace, and composite engineering, with a background in product design and engineering education. A passionate advocate for Industry 4.0, she champions integrating additive manufacturing into classrooms to prepare students for modern industry. Her work bridges the gap between education and technology, sparking creativity and innovation. As an advocate for equality, diversity, and inclusion, Alexis actively promotes STEM to girls and supports initiatives that show young women they can excel in engineering and technology. Her journey exemplifies how determination and curiosity can open doors and is an inspiring example for Fearless Imagineers that anything is possible if you put your mind to it.
Linsey Thornton
Chair & Trustee Director

Linsey Thornton has built a diverse career in hardware engineering and operations, leading teams in fast-paced tech environments like Motorola and Embed Limited. From managing complex prototype builds to problem-solving on the factory floor, she’s shown that women can thrive in engineering and technical leadership. Linsey’s journey proves that with determination, curiosity, and skill, women can shape innovative products and lead in fields often seen as male-dominated, an inspiring message for young girls in the Fearless Imagineers program that anything is possible if you put your mind to it.
